A Big Bright Red Future

I wouldn't mind visiting this future.

Oh well... don't think that's going to happen any time soon. And I can always visit the Modern Mechanix cover archive, featuring many more of Norman Saunders' fascinating illustrations.

Mm2 And while you're enjoying all the vintage-future-madness, you must drop by the Modern Mechanix blog. I have to admit, I got a little carried away stumbling through their archives. What immense fun!

How awesome. Anyone know somewhere in Los Angeles where I could buy old magazines like these? I can think of a few projects I'd like to use them in. I imagine maybe some used book stores?

OH! I love Art-deco! Yeh, Modern Mechanix loves it too :). I've noticed that we are going back to an age of art-deco, have you noticed the Mac lately? I foresee there being much more art-deco with a real 21st century twist in the future. Nothing looks more attractive then art-deco, it both looks good and is functional.
